I wasn't writing much on Witoxicity last summer, after my father passed away. In most of my spare time, I was beading instead.
It's uplifting to look at beads. Really, it is. Looking at beads of all shapes, sizes and colours takes me to another world, a happy one. To me, walking into a bead supply store is like a kid walking into a candy store. Well, if you love beads, you'd know what I mean.
I made this bracelet during that time, inspired by a picture I saw in a book at a bookstore. It's a two-string bracelet made up of a hodge-podge of beads that I happened to have, but staying within the red/pink/white colour group. I rummaged through my mother's button stash (accummulated over several decades) and I was lucky enough to find the perfect pink button to go with it!
I've made many bracelets but this one is by far my favourite. Looking at it always cheers me up.
